Hi
Can anyone explain why double yellow lines have been put on the road by the triangle at the top of church street outside the old white heart flats? I think they may have something to do with the roadworks on Thames street but don't really understand and want to know if they are permanent. Thanks

I understand the need for the double yellows to allow vehicles with a larger turning radius to negotiate the acute right turn from High Street into Church Street.

As a result we've lost a significant number of parking spaces.

If these double yellows becomes permanent, I hope it's not the start of some daft one-way system. I know there was an "internal" consultation, with no public input to consider this.

Hi john. Thanks for your response. I am of the same belief and opinion as you. Bit concerning for us and others living along this road who rely on the parking.

I do hope these are not permanent as sometimes when parking restrictions are "introduced" due to road works, it is very difficult to have them reverted back.  Gareth are you able to advise on this for us?

Apologies for the delay - was checking the status of the lines. Temporary!

Glad to hear - many thanks.
