Assuming this is the one, then yes, it's now a mosque:

Hi Clive,

It is the building next to the 'Jet' petrol station. I suppose we did not hear anything about planning because this area must come under Hounslow. I saw a great deal of activity there the other evening, a big crowd, parked cars, police etc. I bet the local residents cannot believe their good fortune. Bryan.

yes. I drive past it every day and love its big slogan visible to everyone: Love for All, Hatred for None :-)

Remember the old Job's offices well when I worked there in my youth. They were eventually dis-used by Jobs when they handed over to Unigate as they moved all the admin staff onto the main site and they stood empty for years?

Some funny and strange things happened when I worked there.

A 1pt milk bottle full of milk, returned to us with a packet of crisps in the bottle. The crisps were unopened!!

Plenty of pints returned with mice in them...Urghhhh!

The day one of the pasteurisers went for a break whilst a milk truck was being emptied by suction into one of the silo's (There the two big tall silver tanks you can see at the plant). He fell asleep, the truck got crushed like a tin can from the suction, and the silo blew its roof off! The phones didn't stop for an hour telling us it was raining milk over the plant....we knew as we were all covered in it and it stunk the area out for days!

I like the idea of it raining milk (less keen on the ensuring smell!)

I drove past the Mosque this morning on my way to work. It was covered in Union Jack bunting - nice to see!

PS I hesitated to use the phrase "Union Jack" since the flags were not on a boat and I should possibly have said "Union Flag". However, the Flag Institute reassured me. Be interested to know Bryan's view :-)
