My Mum died yesterday.  I need to instigate something with the funeral people.  Has anyone anything to share as to who is good around here?

Very sorry to hear that, Sue. I hope someone can help you with a good recommendation.

G. S. Keates in Hampton hill are a very good funeral directors. They offer a wonderful service at a difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss. Also the new one in the high street, Alan Greenwood and sons are supposed to be good.

So sorry to read this, condolences to you and your family.

Keates up at Hampton Hill are very good, we have used them before and they were extremely 'professional' and 'caring' in every sense of the word.

Sorry to hear this. The above are very good as are others. If you need a non religious service my husband is a humanist celebrant and lives locally.
Hi Sue

There is no greater loss than that of your mother. My condolences to you.

Although my thread is not an answer to your question, for some reason, I feel
compelled to write it to you.

In a few weeks or months when perhaps reality sets in, do contact Cruse, the bereavement counselling service.

I used them last year, when I lost ny "surrogate" mother.
I benefited beyond anything I could have expected.
They will visit you in your home and ask only for a donation.
I was hesitant at first, but quickly realised just how incredibly helpful their service is.

With good wishes at this very difficult time.

Thank you for your replies and condolences.  I have decided to go with Keates.
