Bringing People Together
Don't miss out on this weekend's fundraising concerts at Hampton Pool. With the weather the way it is now, they'll prove to be very popular events. Avoid disappointment and get your tickets now.
The series opens on Friday 12 July with The Carpenters Story, an extraordinarily fine rendition of their emotionally-charged music.
...followed by World class original artists
On Saturday 13 July, the electrifying Albion Band open for the stonkingly good Show Of Hands, still right at the top game after 25 years. They were just so good when they sold out the Festival Hall in February.
Last few tickets for ABC, The Zombies and Midge Ure and band available here.
Any surplus made from the concert season goes toward safeguarding the future of Hampton Pool and developing the treasured facility.
Tickets available now at the Hampton Pool Summer Picnic Concerts ticket sales page. Tickets can be bought on line and collected from the pool reception on the evening.
Or visit our Facebook page Hampton Pool Summer Picnic Concerts.
Food and bar update
Mohammed Tadimi, head chef of our new caterer, Exotic Tagine (who will offering authentic Moroccan cuisine, complementing our usual classic barbecue offering) is recharging himself after a very busy time at the Glastonbury Festival. You may well have seen some of Glastonbury on the TV last weekend. Well, now’s your chance to enjoy that summer festival vibe with us at the more intimate Hampton Pool, Glastonbury-on-Thames.
The Sun Deck Café, BBQ, Ice cream
The Sun Deck Café will be open, on the roof, as normal. And they will be running their popular burger and sausage BBQ down near the poolside as usual, with quarter pounder burgers in sesame buns for £4.00, cheeseburgers for £4.50 both including salad, mayonnaise and sauces plus sausages in rolls for £2.50.
Provided that the weather is reasonably warm and not raining, the ice cream stall will also be open.
Do remember, you are not allowed to bring glass or your own alcohol in to the pool or it's grounds.
The bar is cash only (as are the food stalls), so please make sure that you have sufficient. The good news is that we have managed to hold prices at 2012 levels.
You will find cask ale, draught bitter, lager and cider plus a selection of canned beers are available, plus a choice of a House or Premium wine in Red, White and Rose.
As this is a fundraising event and also for safety reasons, it is not permitted for you to bring your own alcohol or items of glass.
Have a wonderful evening!
Well, the Carpenters certainly sounded good last night :-)
