Bringing People Together
I hope all of you know by now that you [and family, friends, etc] are invited to the Linden Hall 'do' on Sunday [July 31]. Details on this website, under "Events"................
I've just been told that the weather is a bit more promising for Sunday [!].
Over-excited by this news, I've ordered ice for the white wine........................
Apart from the 'fun' element, my more serious point in this post is: traders in Hampton are giving so much, and I know many of you have close connections with the local charities you help.
As a trustee of Linden Hall, I'm wondering if you know the centre, and its work; would you like to know more?
Alison Cheers has visited & members were delighted to see her - the centre's new 'therapy room' was created thanks to Cheers Insurance help.
We've been able to buy a new TV/home entertainment centre AND new chairs, thanks to traders' donations.
This event on Sunday was scheduled so that traders could attend, but in the future - what about an occasion when I could bring together traders, 'friends' and our members? A Hallowe'en lunch - or pre-Christmas party? Tell me your ideas - I know we all want the community to come together, and for me, that sometimes means bringing the wider Hampton community TO our members, as they're not all as mobile as they once were. If you don't know the centre, get in touch with me - we'd love to organise a visit for you!
What would you think about Cheers hosting a network evening for the business group?
