I have been told by 2 people independently that there has recently been a spate of bike thefts from garden sheds.Presumably these are expensive bikes that have been locked away for securityDoes…Continue
"A308 apart from the bit of thames st was in the proposal. It's crazy slow and causes even more of a delay on a congested road now. Just been beeped at and tailgate twice when I was a good citizen and obeyed the signs"
"As the signs are now uncovered, and the speed limit is in force, what steps are being taken to police it.
One immediate benefit is that the idiots that drive down my road at 40MPH plus can receive a ban"
"Heavens what a mess, I went to HC by bus and looked out for the signs and you are correct the A308 at the bottom of Station road along to the next bus stop is 20mph and then there is a 30mph sign, not very big. Coming back tonight my son was…"
"The Thames Street cameras should be still at 30mph, as the Council said there would be no 20mph from there to Kingston Bridge. The little sign are far too small and could easily be missed. As yet I haven't seen any big ones nor on the…"
"Seems that it has gone live! no pre warnings or instruction signs, overnight on Tuesday large '20' signs have been painted on the roads and all the stickers have been removed from the metal signs, if you're new to the area you…"
"If you look on the lbrut 20mph rollout webpage there are some pdf files that somehow don't download but it concludes that the full 20mph limit rollout will take up to a year from 8th August 2019, and at the moment they have no specific times !…"
"Can someone please enlighten the poor confused people of Hampton? Everyone is asking everyone else 'when does this start?' no one knows for sure. It ran late from the beginning of August. I noticed today that the sign…"
21.50 this evening (11/09/2019), I spotted a young woman exercising her dog in the childrens play area on Hampton Green. When I challenged her, she claimed it wasn't a problem as she picked up after her dog and there was an issue with it being harrased by another dog.I pointed out that even though she picked up, there was still a residue left, and her actions were not acceptable.I threatened to report her to the Police If I saw her again. If anyone sees her doing same, please have a go!See More
"Certain areas, around Kingston for example have a lot of mixed cyclist/pedestrian areas. I suspect this has led to cyclists to regard any pavement as a cycling area. There are certainly many cyclists who cycle on the pavement regardless. As much as…"
""Insufficient boosters" sounds like a load of rubbish. Each meter records usage and sends the reading, normally every half an hour via the cellphone network to a data collection hub.
I certainly won't have a smart (electricity) meter…"
"A308 isn't suppose to be 20 mph, it wasn't enforced the last time, the council apparently 'listened' to people objections and then said the A308 up to HC and along to Kingston Bridge would remain as their original speed limits.…"
"Having noticed all the little signs with white plastic covering on them sprouting up all over Hampton, by squinting your eyes you can just read the number 20 behind them, so even though the public voted to keep the speed limit at 30mph the council…"
"It may not be anything to do with the move to Ashford, but my mother recieved a letter in Hampton, posted in Sheffield according to the postmark, but it was addressed to Hampton, Melbourne, Australia, with no UK postcode. Duh."
