"The bench was built into the bus stop and was removed and not replaced. I think someone has given him the replacement. It is a bus shelter by definition. He is not waiting for a bus, refuses help and should be moved on."

"Just to say I have phoned SPEAR. The volunteer receptionist said she would follow up and find out if an out reach worker had visited him. Some local people are kind and deliver food to him and he has the offer of a shower from the Hampton Hill…"

"We were just speaking about him last night at dinner with local friends.  He apparently has been offered housing before, but has turned it down as it was not in Hampton.  He stays in the shelter as he is apparently a local himself.…"

"They aren't as simple as they appear.  He is regularly spoken to by SPEAR (local homeless charity). The only thing that I have heard about him is that he is polite.  He was when we exchanged words in the Launderette."

"Posts about this man have come up several times on the Streetlife site. Local agencies are aware of him but I kind of got the impression from one of them (just my opinion) that solutions aren't always as simple as they appear."
