The existing gas work on Station Road junction with Ormond Avenue is the essential gas work that was delayed previously to allow for other higher priority utility works in the area.

At the outset, it was unclear whether or not temporary traffic lights would be required as the exact location of the main was unknown prior to excavating the site.

The current traffic management plan does involve 2 way temporary traffic lights with pedestrian facilities as the zebra crossing has been suspended.  Our street works engineer have attended site daily since the work started on the 13th June and is envisaged to be completed next Friday 24th June.

Minor carriageway patching works in Warfield Road is due to start on the 27th June for up to 3 days.

In case this is the place to mention it... traffic chaos looms again! Traffic light junction at the waterworks to be closed eastbound on July 8-9 - right in the middle of the Flower Show! These works must be postponed - who is responsible for making and implementing that decision?

You need to write to Cllr.PBuckwell@richmond.gov.UK as I did during the recent chaos.  He took over from Stephen Speak.  I found him very helpful.  Good luck.  You do wonder if the council are actually aware of impending problems we face on the A308 in Hampton. Do copy in Gareth at Cllr.GRoberts@richmond.gov.uk

Hi Ian, in regards to your comment about the traffic light junction at the waterworks to be closed eastbound on July 8-9, this was due to an annual planned closure agreed to help to regulate the traffic flows from Lower Sunbury travelling to the Flower Show.
